Marty, yeah I am a racist redneck to a point, won't argue that. Will also state I have no real problem with Islam and the practice thereof. Will say that those people that come from a fucked up country should be grateful to be here and if they aren't happy here well just piss off back to Lebanon, Iraq, Iran et al.

But its not really a minority of them is it? If a community of Christian's moved to Iraq would you get a Christian church in your community, would the law change so u could wear you dick stickers on a summer day (fresh meat was the term used buy the Muslim spokes person in Syd)

Can you walk in to a bank/servo wearing a balclava or even your helmet on? But you can with a burqa... go figure...

Unfortunately it is always the extreme views that get reported. I am neither a fan or against, only that if you promote hatred or dislike of others due to colour, race or a religious belief (so long as that belief promotes equality) than you are just another biggot.
Instead of lowering ourselves to biggot's level we should promote equality, empower people to make choices that don't take away from others. If you hold a person down all they can do is fight, if you hold them up you at least give them a chance to see what is around them.

Good luck with that one, they get "held up" so to speak pretty well when they come to OZ, Centrelink, Housing commission, Medicare, mosque's built on request in their new community, their own set of laws .... What do our homeless or elderly get in comparison?
Maybe if the majority of them showed some respect to country they have come to for a better way of life more people would show the same back, if then it become the minority being turkeys then so be it but while its the majority in our country and back in their own they are burning their own bridge...
They have their own crime squad, that pretty much speaks for themselves...

Not disagreeing with what you are saying as far as some of the stigmas that they get labelled with, it certainly appears that way, however the italians, chinese, vietnamese have all had similar tags at some point in time.
If you target a section of society, you only galvanize and isolate them, thus making them go on the defence. The ones that should be targetted are the etremists not the majority who are simply sheep.

Let's not forget the filthy Greeks, The Catholic Lebs from the 70's and early 80's, the Poles, Turks, Africans and all the others who have very obviously destroyed the fabric of society!!
I am mates with Jews, Muslims, Christians, Budhists, Sikh's, Hindu's.......... Vietnamese, Greek, Italian, Leb, Chinese, Indian, Sri-Lankan, Aborigine, Moari and god knows how many other nationalities. They are real mates. Not just people I know. It's amazing the persepective you are enlightened to when you are exposed to cultures in an embracing way as a friend. You learn so much more and open your eyes to so much more.
I have no fear of what our country will become. It will change as it has from the 20's to the 40's to the 60's to the 80's and so on and as it will for as long as humans walk the planet. But, It will never degenerate into a fuedal holy war torn country, as not only will the true born Aussies not allow it (those who could be fucked anyway) but all the "New Australians" such as those listed above, will fight like fuck to maintain those differences, as despite what some may think, this is part of the reason they are here.
I welcome them all. As with when other cultures have come enmasse, we will sort the wheat from the chaff in a generation or two!
