This is the sort of idiot that gives us, sensible bike riders a bad name and puts a target on our back for the local constabulary to watch.

Take your speed to a race track.

What happens if he fell off and hit a tree....how do you explain that to the greenies....... :?

Cath wrote:As a firm believer in "time and place" when it comes to speeding... That article said nothing about time and next to nothing about place. Did you have access to more details re: time and place or are you just going off that article?
It's out in the middle of bumfuk nowhere at 5:10pm.........
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=Flat+R ... 75095&z=13

The coppers an arse for not slapping his wrist and writing him up for a lesser offence and letting him ride off.........
I heard about a guy that got caught last Sunday for 139 in an 80. Copper did him for 102 and told him to slow down.

Are you serious? You have a bike that can do 250km/hr in about 10 seconds and you NEVER speed AT ALL? :?

Thanks Cath.....  I'm just over the amount of times some guy or girl has been busted doing well over the speed limit and then gets called a goose in here. FFS, we ride motorcycles....and blah blah blah, don;t want it in print any more times than it has already been...but you get my point!

Shit, it's mandatory on every ride I do to do at least that and more if I can. Jesus, if the CDT was taped and given to the plod, half of KSRC would be goose' of the week. It doesn't bother me people posting saying, hey, this poor bugger got nailed for cracking it open at the wrong time. But stop refering to them as the goose of the week. The goose of the week, is the thief who planted the R1 into the side of a car. Not some guy or girl, who in moment of red mist, cracked it open in two maybe three gears and got caught right at the wrong time.

If you lot keep agreeing to this being a goose of the week, then we will soon be like the french, wear Mandatory Hi Vis Clothing is being introduced for motorcycles. :x

Motorcycles are fucking dangerous. So, all the safety crats and do gooders and Hi-Vis vest wearing wankers can go fuck themselves....is that less generalised now Cath????

Have to agree with Marty here.

I hardly open Goose of the week threads anymore as they make me roll my eyes without fail.

It's a public road, with rules. Stick to the rules.

Pretty sure Fender Eliminators are illegal in TAS as they are in most states. Well that's the rules anyway ;)

Fender eliminators don't do 200kph in an 80 zone. Twats do!

My fender eliminator has done 299 in an 80 and even a 60 zone but I blinked so Iam not sure back in 2004 in the middle of bumfark nowhere Qld, Ok Iam a goose and a twat and I will go and fuck myself although I have been told that can kill me too.

When I got done for having a fender cut off my 12R it effectively cost me over $1300 with time off work, cost of parts, and the bullshite over the pits etc.

 Lovin your work Marty

I personally wouldn't do that speed in that place - the cost / benefit in this situation doesn't hit my sweet spot. But I have done silly speeds in other times and places, so I'd be a hypocrite if I got all judgemental on this dudes arse. It could've been a perfectly safe time and place and he got really unlucky, or it was a stupid spot to do it. Either way, he made the call and got caught. It's a risk most of us take, some more often than others, hey Marty :P

In my very best Sgt Shultz voice Cath....." I know Nuffink".....

But, I did hear along the grape vine of some goose who did Bombala main street to Williamstown main street in 4 hours! Fucking dangerous lunatic should be locked up, tortured, released in ten years and then publicly humiliated for the remainder of his/her life upon release. I know the area he did it and he could have killed a cow, or a sheep, possibly even a goat!!!    (Apparently, it would have been less than 4 hours had it not been for the goat    )
