Maybe we should start a thread called "KwakBook" we could put our usual facebook status' in it and people could quote and like them

I have a block on arsebook. And apparently I'm not the last dinosaur - you can get an add on for Firefox that blocks it too. ;)

You can't just lurk around and wait for somebody else to post something up.This place is what YOU make it..... :kuda:

Dave is right, you really have to make the effort and attend and become involved, their is NO "in group" just members who "join IN" ;)

I suggest looking at the ride days and get togethers section.

My percentage of use would be in the order of: Facebook 5% KSRC 95%
Glen is right, there is heaps of banter on FB that the forum used to get & I think it sux having to work twice as hard to keep up with whats going on... so much so that I tend not to bother with FB .... I just don't have the time, & therefore am getting further out of the loop with some members :?

Before id lost my licence, the regular rides ie. Sunday at the pits/NW, Putty loop, Xmas trackie etc. were always filled with members going for the rides, and then less and less members, through the passing months, stopped going and well id stopped going to the old road altogether because i knew that no one would turn up unless someone revived the thread and then only 2-5 would turn up... so its not a matter of posting rides, people just dont come probably because "ohh its sunday mehh cant be arsed going old road same shit diff day" or are busy.

Because of facebook and meeting new people from other places, ive joined 4 other groups who regularly have 50+ bikes going on long/ short rides ANYWHERE not just the same place every week... so in saying this, like i said before Facebook is tearing us apart in a way...

Every day when i finish work i open up 3 pages on my firefox: KSRC, hotmail and facebook, im always looking at the club site for activity and hardly see movement unless someone is having a baby or me posting i got my knee down, etc

Id post more rides but no licence doesnt help... but even whn i did post some rides i gave up because no one would attend or the classic "too far" so i guess weve reached the cunundrum. AND what ever happened to the BBQ's at each others houses??? they used to be so regular now its a miracle if ur not close by or dont have each others numbers it doesnt happen...

so you tell me whats going on. 8)

......and I'm sick of tossers who I've never met asking me to be friends. I don't know you....fuck off. Just because you know someone I know doesn't mean I want to know you. If you want to feel good about yourself don't count your Facebook friends go and talk to humans face to face.

As soon as I work out how to kill myself from Facebook I'm out of there. Getting old is shit......you just get cranky all the time.......cahns.

Do you really want to go on a ride with 50 bikes who you probably don't know? I reckon you could pretty well go to any end of Sydney on a Sunday and find a KSRC bunch going for a ride and as an added benefit the people can actually ride. Go on a track day or turn up at a race meet and see who's there ......Facewank Racing? I don't think so. But if you want to find out what's happening you have to go on Facebook. Maybe our new race team shirts should have the Facebook logo on them because that seems to be where you need to go to find out anything.

I'm actually enjoying being a cranky old cahn..... Now how do I unfriend every prick on Facewank....fuggin Alzheimers.........
