I checked out a trailer on the net, looks very good but just curious; DVD be alright or is the book better?

If you can take a good clear pic if your rear tyre and post it up here we can tell you how much more you can confidently lean. :kuda:

Incidently if anyone is about those days I'd be keen to have a riding friend ;)

All good mate, it will come with time. Just enjoy your time and dont do your head in.

Do you commute or just ride on weekends? Commuting is a good way to get hours and experience plus on the bike every day.

Most days I get a lift in a work vehicle :) , Tuesday and Thursday I drive, figure I will ride but not at least until the bikes broken in, too much freeway (at least half the journey) would be at a constant rev, also a slow trip at the L plate 80kmh limit. 70kms or so to work.

Motorbike tuitional DVDs are notoriously bad (corny) BUT there's still a lot you can learn from it. The DVD is 1/100th of what's in the book(s) but it's your point 4 and it's important and probably enough to work on initially.

The 2 books are just the ones I read. Twist of the Wrist 2 is technical in a text book kind of way and racing oriented, sport riding techniques is more user-friendly in a coffee table book kind of way and has roadcraft etc.

Re. the pics of your tyre, lean the farker :kuda: (no need to worry about slipping at the speeds you're riding UNLESS you do something really stupid with the brake while leaned over)

Cool thanks Tim, thought the book(s) might have a bit more in it, more portable too.

also you can use some back break in a corner! use it lightly, this will stand you up right a little but from my experiance if u tap it a little to wash some speed off in the corner and then lean over a bit more and give some gas and keep your eyes looking to where you want to go you will make it out with no troubles
