Fark

condolences to all families involved...............
I thought something was wrong as I was on my home from the "big smoke" yesterday. I hit the Putty at Windsor at about 5.30pm and I saw a mobile copper at Wilberforce and then another copper hiding off the road with a hair dryer at Howes Creek. I thought something must have happened earlier for them to be still working just on dark..........

Sad news, what is even sadder is that more than likely the offender will get a slap on the wrist.
And motorcycles will be further targeted by the cops.

Yeah I remember thinking it could have been a cop coming the other way, because you couldn't pick it as a ute from the front. The guy with us had a ventura rack and bag too.
Poor buggers. RIP and Condolences to friends and family.
Thought i seen you's on the putty yesty, i remember your bike

I was riding a black 09zx10r green rim tape.. Me and a mate stuck up around the top end of the putty though, the 10mile twisties of goodness..
I had a few friends try and ring/msg me when they heard of the news, as they knew i was on the putty that day and feared for the worst..
RIP to the riders involved

Hey mate, I was the guy riding with you thru the first section but was not the same gixxer involved in the crash. I was, however, riding with the group involved in the accident. A very horrific time for us all I can assure you. Probably the worst part of the whole story is that one of the riders who was killed, his young son was riding pillion on the bike behind (also involved in crash but not injured) and witnessed the whole thing. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone!!

I recognized the stickers on 1 or 2 of your helmets, that was what made me check in here after such a long hiatus actually. I thought you were my group as you came up behind me to be honest, thats why I was going so slow, I was waiting for everyone to catch up! Turns out I missed a turn off and was actually now coming last haha I copped it when I finally caught up with them.

so what happens to the driver? They want to give us jail time for doing high speed on empty open roads, and they will get a slap on the wrist.
Shit does happen, but when you get in a car or on a bike you are getting into a potentially leathal device and should take care knowing you could kill with negligence.
If someone where to pick up a rifle and shoot randomly around and end up killing someone they would most likely get a hefty sentence, yet, in a car, which can easily kill people what do you get
A few places where i usually ride I see cars overtaking in 100% blind corner. Licence should be torn up and banned for 5 years.

I agree wholeheartedly with the anger towards negligent drivers but the jury is still out as to what happened in this event. I would wait until they have a better idea of what really happened before we start the witch hunt. If it turns out it was all the car driver's fault then you can go ahead and burn her, but until then let's wait for the full facts to emerge before we get all worked up and start calling her names? For all we know she could have had a wheel fall off pulling her into the other lane.
As for the loss of lives and the child witnessing the fathers demise, it's a very sad situation indeed. Condolences to all involved.
