Ha, I'd almost believe that if he didn't pop a wheelie. Depending on how loud you listen to your music + the padding on the helmet, it's possible to block out pretty much all road noise I reckon.

On the Crim, if i have my plastic suit on I can't see jack shit behind me without contorting my body into the most unnatural positions to look into my mirrors (I have a fine view of the sleeves of the said plastic suit merrily flapping in the wind though). Without the plastic suit I have a fine view of my inner elbows/biceps

with a just a hint that there is something behind me, but a little shift of my arms and I can see behind me mostly okay.
I never heard the sirens behind me over the wind noise at 100km/h+ when I didn't have music going.

My Gumby was the same, all arms/elbows in the mirrors, nothing else

You will need to ride one to experience it......
You can't adjust the mirrors unless you add grey nomad caravan clip-ons
Moving your elbows is like constantly checking your watch on both wrists
