Look at it this way, you get to fall in love with another bike as you pull her apart and put her back together they way she deserves if things don't go well with the w/o. Or you get to fall in love more with her when she comes back.

I hate to be a vulture Eric, but if it is written off, do you have any tasty bits you may want to sell prior to letting the ins co take it???

Glad to hear you're OK mate, that sounds like it could've been real nasty. Sorry to hear about the Rex though, I know how much you loved the girl. I still have a picture of that first ride up the mountains to Bathurst somewhere. I'll have to try and dig it out.
Get better soon hey.

Sorry to hear the news and hope you heal well... It has now been 12 months and 1 week since the RNP also took my ZRX away. It has something against them.
Rest easy, IanH

No probs there Strika, I would love the good bits if any to go to a good home. Decision will be made soon if I dont redo/buy another Rex then I think the only thing left salvageable would be the Sargent seat and the Ohlins, the beautiful Kerker copped it a beauty so no more orchestral manouvres, this is besides the stock shocks, stock seat and full stock exhast system I have in the shed.
Studying the market place and I am leaning towards something just a tad lighter, not orange, but could be in that model range and definitely naked, or an ST Triumph, but dollars will be tight.
