Draggin/Sartso/Hornee/etc Kevlar pants are a joke & not worth the material they're made of, I have crashed in Draggins & I still got rashed up just as badly through the kevlar as I would've if I was wearing denim jeans (I've crashed in jeans too so I'm qualified to make the comprison), they offer no more protection than jeans unless you slide a long way & that rarely happens from my crashing experiences.
You need IMPACT protection in the knees & hips of your pants, when you crash a bike the serious injuries come from when your knee or hip smashes into the ground, Kevlar pants have zero padding/armour & therefore are completely useless in preventing impact injury.
If you don't want to wear leather pants, get some Dririder or similar textile jobs - they have armour & are cooler (less hot) to wear than leather.
When somebody starts making Kevlars with armour, I'll probly get a set, until then I'll keep shaking my head & chuckling to myself every tme I see someone wearing them.

I've seen my mate come off wearing kevlar pants and I don't think that this guy isn't going to stop wearing them, saved him from serious road rash and saw another pair from the result of another crash so I don't know why your's weren't good enough for you, maybe you should start riding a cruiser rather than crashing all the time on your sports bike.

Well mate, as I mentioned I haven't seen someone come off wearing Draggins, I have done it & if you actually read my post it clearly tells you why they weren't 'good enough' Why are you assuming that denim jeans wouldn't have "saved him from serious road rash"? I can tell you from my experience that denim does not fall apart in .8 of a second or whatever those ridiculous road safety ads would have you believe.

Thanks for your ignorant & Ill informed opinion on what bike I should be riding too, if I thought you knew the first thing about motorcycles or motorcycling I might consider it but you've proved beyond doubt that you have NFI.
Think about it Einstein - Kevlars for the street where you are less likely to slide far & more likely to hit something solid vs Leathers for the track where the opposite is true.
Maybe you should THINK before you post drivel or actually speak from your own experience (if you have any) rather than sprout baseless "my mate reckons" type crap.

Well, I reckon you are both wrong. Just like KA, I have crashed in jeans, kevlars, leathers, textiles, shorts and thongs, budgie smugglers, boardies and baseball caps. From my Experiences, It just depends on how you fall.

Having said that, If I were at the track, then I would have to support KA's attitude that leather works best. But, once again, I have seen $3500 race suits burst open and $400 race suits cop pounding after pounding!

Ah Kwak, look, your opinion and entitled to it. I do agree with Strika it all depends on alot.

However, for the slightly extra price of the "protection" of Kevlar im fucking there and you dont look like a total fuckwit on your commute all dress like Valentino Rossi, But maybe its your thing, just not mine.

It does'nt matter which bike we ride it still feels the same when the ground comes calling, lets at least pick on scooter riders .

Dainese I have found to be a very good product, not cheap but the leather is a good quality. I two of their jackets and can't fault them. The cut and fit seem to be the best for me.

Doh! I guess it's more of a summer riding jacket then. The 1-R is considerably thicker, so I might buy that online once the weather changes. They're $650 odd but seem to be out of stock at most online stores/eBay.
