How about the Asahina Racing Z1 in it's different iterations ? (possibly aka the Claytons Z1 ...)
For a more traditional bike, I love the other one.

The last two are better, dont like the Z/GSX-R hybrib all that much. If its a Suzuki it can only be an XR69 rep

The first one is an ongoing project, that they still enter in the Suzuka 8-Hour. About the only Z1 parts left are the tailpiece and tank shell. I believe the newer engine started life in a ZX9R.

I am just starting a rebuild on a 77 z1000 a1 and checking out all the options. I wish you lot would stop posting so many great pics, it is messing with my head.

I wouldn't be at all surprised. It really is a Z1 in name only, but still nice to see obsessives out there pushing the brand
