Great pics Dave! When were you in San Fran? I was there a month ago. Did LA, San Fran and Vegas :kuda: You only have 1 problem though, the full house house isn't the one you took a pic of!

Let me rumble through my facebook pics and I'll grab it for you
Image

Apparently the one you're infront of is commonly mistaken for it! Who knows!

Here's a few of my party snaps. These were taken on my iPhone 4, so excuse the quality :D

I also did the night tour of Alcatraz. Pretty awesome!

And what can I say, Vegas, well the pics don't do it justice. YOU HAVE TO GO THERE.

Oh, and if you're a Theme Park junkie like me, this rollercoaster was the scariest IMO. Knotts Berry Farm - Ghostrider. Not because it does loops or anything, but because it throws you around so much it feels like you're going to die!

In the opening credits, the camera closes in on the Tanner home, opposite a park. However, whenever anyone opens the front door throughout the series, you see houses opposite the Tanner's home. [In the opening credits the "Tanner house" is not in the background of where they are having their picnic. The houses in the background are actually a landmark in San Francisco called the "Painted Ladies". The Tanner house set actually just used a local house that was located at 1709 Broderick St in San Francisco. If you watch the houses next to the Tanner house they are not the same as the houses in the background at the park. There are houses across the street from the real house they used as the set.]

So we had a great time in Austin but it was time to head to San Antonio.

There was 3 things in San Antonio. 1. Alamo Dome (Home of the San Antonio Spurs NBA), 2. River Walk, 3. The Alamo.

We headed straight for the centre of town and down to the River Walk. The River Walk is a canal type setup with bars and restaurants lining the banks. It looked like a happening place to be at night time, but during the day, was more casual and laid back. We jumped on a tourist barge and has a lovely Mexican lady try and tell us about all the different buildings and bridges - she was very hard o understand.

Then a shot walk to the Alamo. If you haven't heard of it, then it's hard to explain why Texans consider this a sacred place. Most people have heard of Davy Crockett but don't know much about him. It used to be a Mission, but was turned into a fort due to it's position. Long story short, They got copped an absolute schelacking by an invading Mexican army during their fight for independence. This pummelling inspired a resurgence and they used the "Cry of the Alamo" to overcome this army at another battle a month or so later.

So San Antonio was done, time to head back to Houston.

We headed out for dinner to catch up with Mike (ex Nascar dude), and Reggie Slater (ex NBA player). Ended up in a trivia comp where 2 of the questions were about Australia  We still came second though :(

Had a great night and Reggie invited us to see his new basketball setup on the south side of Houston. He runs a handful of automotive repair centres but this sports complex was his baby. We then headed to his place which turned into a "Cribs" type tour. He had everything  . Champion of a bloke!

Image

We spent the next day at a ranch owned by a friend of Marc's. The place was really green and sat on the edge of a lake. So we rode bikes, drank beer and shot guns

The Jockey's must be tiny in the US

I strayed

Mon didn't :D

And she's a great shot! Got the can 1st go... new_snipersmilie.gif

I had a go

Next Day - NASA - Very humbling.

Pics tell the story.

Mission Control - THE Actual place

Saturn V - HUGE!

Then i got dragged along to a bar where I had to 2-step. Mon bought cowboy boots so she wanted to test them out...

Can you pick the odd one out?

We wrapped up our last night in Texas with a BBQ at the home we were staying. As grateful guests, we brought along some Coopers Sparkling and some Aussie red wine. We were treated to some amazing food such as Dove, Deer sausage and the greatest steak i have ever eaten notworthy.gif .

Texas Wrap-up. The nicest bunch of people I have ever met. Their views on things like guns may seem strange to us, but in their environment, seems normal. Houston was like any big city but the poeple made the difference.

I was really enjoying the read Dave, until I found out you went to the wrong Full House house.. It lost of sense of credability after that..
Then the pic of you riding a bike was just confirmation...

Nice one, thanks for sharing... :kuda:

Hey mate, At least you tried. Most of us won't hold it against you for going to the wrong house. The grumpy old ones might but not the rest of us ;)
I missed you while you were away, don't ever leave me again..
