Nay not as loud but it does back fire a bit on the track. I haven't done the keen mod yet though
So true about the backfiring, but mine does it on the street.
Is the keen mod you speak of removing the oxygen thingy inder the tank and putting block off plates on? I was reading up on that on other forums and apparently it stops the popping and backfiring.
May as well order the plates anyway as I will be getting a PCV tonight. God bless the USA and its shitty dollar atm.

Yep thats it but I made a typo of the term. It's called a Kleen mod.

No need for a block off plated. Just removed the entire unit and cut a small length of the hose to connect the outlets so they run into each other , and Done. have done it to about 5-6 bikes now and all for zero cost ;)

doesn't the Gen3 ZX10 have a FI error when you do that?
Only reason I ask is that Ivans Performance block off plates come with some electrical thingamabob to stop the FI flashing.
Or did you keep the air system in there just completely bypassing it so the electrical system doesn't pop the FI light?

What the dyno tuner did with mine was just screw a decent sized bolt from the outside into my airbox where the hose attached to it and then slide the hose back over the bolt :kuda:
