Have been hearing the government ads on the radio about this, so it's definitely happening.

This is a good WA site I discovered for explanation of radar technology. It has a lot of weaknesses provided we are aware of the shortfalls it seems?

I don't think this was the new mobile speed cameras, Greg. Probably Radar and/or Rego recognition cameras.....
New speed cameras suppose to start 19th July, and you will get the ticket in the mail, not pulled over at the scene......

Definitely the old coppers with radar. Of the two i would rather them than the "silent assassin" method with it being sent out in the mail, if for no other reason you have a chance of talking down a ticket if your nice to a copper. No such luxury with a camera.

Then again my preference over the both of them is police actively out and patrolling, but at least they were showing high levels of visibility in their efforts.

I'm glad i wasn't out and heading that way today, i still usually do 90 across that bridge. I guess some people couldn't handle the idea of braking after the bridge to take the corner/avoid the concrete barrier. Which in itself isn't that hard.
