There were unofficial team orders and that is why the team are not happy with Mark. Mark was told over the radio that if Vettel did not pass him then Vettel would most likely be overtaken by Hamilton, which if Vettel was faster than Mark than it makes sense that Hamilton would get past Mark if he let Vettel past. On the flip side the Red Bull Team said that they had a 1-2 in the bag, so if they had a 1-2 in the bag why would Vettel need to pass Weber? Seems like the Red Bull team want Vettel or believe Vettel is a better chance of winning the championship.

I think it was as simple as Vettel thinking he was clear when he wasn't. He probably wanted to slam over in front of Weber as soon as he could to make a statement, what a tool, I'm glad he didn't finish.

To add my two cents.
It looked as he just expected webber to move over . Either arrogance or stupidity i dont know. In the replay Webber did nothing wrong Vettel just simply thought his team mate would move out of the way and ran out of road, as blur said even if webber gave him room he would've criss crossed back into the lead anyway.Even the commentators agreed vettel fuct up and they live breathe eat and and live for the sport. I watched the qualifying and vettel had that sour look on his face after being beaten once again .Very sore loser .I think hes got he shits that hes team mates is getting better results than him.
As for the gestures he made implying Webber was mad when he clearly was at fault,What a fuck knuckle as Gos already said.
In F1 i thought that publicly disrespecting your team mate would have more ramifications than crashing into your own team mate.
I was a fan of vettel up until and after the crash but then he started to insult OUR Mark. I hope he ends up driving a lotus or hrt where Webber has worked his ass from with the like of Minardi Jag etc etc.
On the other hand it may spice it up a little bit like When Rossi v Biaggi OR Rossi v Gibernau had there battles a few years back in the motogp.That was Awesome

I agree he moved into Mark, his fault, plain and simple. How about Hamilton and Webber discussing (with hand signals) it in the post race press conferance while Button was speaking

Red Bull are backing Vettel as he is seen as the future of the team (don't they call him the next Schumacher) and they want to retain him and Mark is at the end of his career, sort of understandable I suppose

I have watched this a number of times...Vettel is an idiot
wrong place wrong position wrong speed to try and overtake in F1

the more I watch it the more it seems Vettel was under orders to take Webber out
and that seems to be backed up by the RedBull team reaction post-crash

Looking at the video though, I get the impression that Webber stuck to the left side of the track a bit longer than he maybe needed to given the left-hander coming up, particularly when you see where the following car was.

The BBC commentators blamed Vettel and after watching that video the German commentators blame Vettel aswell. Not sure what drugs his team bosses are on.

Red Bull now blames both Webber, Vettel

RED BULL'S racing management have now blamed both its drivers for the Turkish Formula One crash after originally putting responsibility on Mark Webber.
Red Bull has changed its view and now believes both Sabastian Vettel and Webber should share blame for the accident which ruined the team's victory chances.

In a question and answer press release issued by the team on Tuesday to dismiss the controversy which has engulfed the team, Red Bull principal Christian Horner said the crash which robbed them of a one-two finish was simply an "unnecessary'' racing accident.

Red Bull's motorsport adviser Helmut Marko said immediately after the race that Webber was solely responsible - sparking outrage from the media and fans who claimed it was Vettel who had turned into Webber's car as he tried to overtake him.

But Horner said that all factions of the team, including Marko, now believed both drivers were equally guilty of not giving each other enough room.

"Ultimately we win as a team and we lose as a team and on Sunday we lost as a team, as a result of our two drivers having an incident,'' said Horner.
