Just moved to Sydney - know what youre going thru. Im paranoid about leaving my bike anywhere, and get the shits when strangely the mirrors have been moved on my return.

Can I recommend a proximity alarm & immobiliser? The chain is a good deterent too, but of course if someone really wants your bike, they'll find a way to load it onto the back of a ute.

The proximity alarm is good because as soon as anyone gets too close, it goes off. Always a good idea to get one with a variable distance switch so you can change it from 1m to 30cm, etc. That should get rid of the fiddling!

Good luck!

You could always run the bike as hot charged so when someone touches it they get a decent belt of electricity, the side stand would have to have an insulator on the end of it. But hey, I have seen it work on cars and although it isn't legal it would certainly freak em out.
