correction.......waste for those who register motorcycles in the state of Victoria

on a more serious note, why does the bus driver honk his horn when the bike is clearly stopped at the intersection?... why is it our fault that the cabbie opens his car door without looking? why is it our fault a guy not looking where he is going walks out onto the road? and then says " hey whatch it mate"... and why are these even in the ad? the rider made good evasive action from the knob headed cabbie driver, and also came to a stop before the idiot not looking where he is going... +2 for motorcycle riders there...

lane splitting does increase the risk of an accident, and wearing crappy clothing increases the damage you may do to yourself if you crash, and speeding does increase the risk of an accident, and altho i really dont want to nit pick this point because it has flaws in it, i do not believe the crash at the end is caused by speed... its caused by a weird rider error that apparently causes the front end to fold whilst travelling in a straight line...

i hope this is followed by an ad for car drivers, thats shows how changing lanes without looking, pulling out into intersections without looking and opening car doors without looking, is stupid... and that these are the risks they are responsible for minimising... not motorcycle riders...

That's a great ad!

I've been watching the other "think" ads.

American adaptation

The car oriented ones are quite disturbing!!!! Here's a couple. (viewer beware)

So many views I agree with on in this thread.
The government loves to pick on minorities so that the majority feels better about itself rather than actually doing anything constructive.
It is all about votes.
If you ride a bike you are evil.
Look at bikie laws.
If you are young you are a problem in society as you must drink too much, drive too fast and be a vandal.
If you are a homosexual you are evil and their "God" will disagree.
If you are a Scientologist...ok...bad example.
My point is, if we do exactly what the government wants, like what they want us to like and use our money so that they and big business profit, the world would be perfect.
The fact they use the TAC/my money to tell me and others that I am evil just reduces the government's credibility even lower, if that is possible.
I guess I had better go and live up to their expectations.

Every Law ever written was to keep the Rich feeling safe
in their Ivory Towers.
They only give a shit about accidents because it cost them in payout's.
We need some sort of order certainly, but it is now getting so you can't fart without be scrutinised

most Vic riders that I have spoken to..... think this is an overexaggerated piece of fiction and a waste of OUR money
that does NOTHING for bike safety and only goes to show ALL road users that riders are an irresponsible lot and just happen
to ride all the time ignoring traffic laws

but hey , the good news is........... these 'bad' motorcycle riders will get fixed up by oncoming traffic

I personally dont know what they are trying to achieve with this ad.....
scaring people off riding? or just telling us that if we ride on the road like dickheads we will end up deceased?
or just telling the rest of the road users in Vic that motorcycle riders cant be trusted in traffic ?

Whichever..... I am waiting to see TV ads on the roadhabits of -
taxi drivers
sand and soil truck drivers
couriers
but I aint holding my breath........
And then there is the....... Don't get me started
