Yeah is it wrong to say to my son to play stairway
all the way through on acoustic instead of him being a guitarist in some whitesnake band?
Gave him a choice, well wasn't really cause not many can do stairway properly/original and his year 12 was the option, funny he is now doing year 12
I support his dream however he now understands reality and possibility, not to mention potential, he well maybe a rockin dude in the future, he is good at it

No... I am bias

I bought this amp last week.
Its a full valve amp and it sounds great in the shop but now ive played it for a week i dont like it anymore.
it has a great clean sound but a shit dirty dirty sound.
maybe it would sound better with a strat.

It will do for a practice amp though.
my other amp is a marshall jcm 900 half stack but its too big for most things but it sounds great.

What do you think of the 212 marshall combo in comparison to your quaddie?
HOw is the volume?
is it more controllable or just as loud?
im considering buying the 212 cab for my jcm 900 head - hoping its a little less loud than the quad box.
i know i could just turn down but the amp sounds so much better when its cranked.

I bought my JCM800 new back in the 80's & it's still awesome - I'll never part with it.
Has plenty of grunt & that wide/warm sound you only get with all valve.
The mode four I only bought a couple of months ago & it's a fucking monster when it comes to LOUD!!!!
350w head into a 400w quad, so there's shitloads of headroom. Some people don't like this amp but I love it. A bit on the pricey side though considering it's a hybrid transistor/valve, but the sound is more controllable
Some people are using their JCM heads with the MF quad box & seem to like it so maybe that's an option for you.
Nice Les Paul btw

Wow that dude has one hell of a neckbeard.
I learned in highschool as well and stopped while i was still extremely mediocre. Missus bought me a guitar for my birthday last year, but haven't played it enough unfortunately.

I should try practicing a little bit to see if i get mediocre or even slightly good at it.
