I ran Bridgestone slicks, soft front, medium rear on my 600 and got 2 "good" track days, I ran the same tyres at Oran park and only lasted 2 sessions before I replaced them. Street tyres might last a bit longer, I don't know. But I found slicks stick like shit to a blanket.

Thats one of the reasons why I wont run slicks anymore, the other is no slicks on a damp track ;)

if your using warmers, 1 heat cycle is 1 day, so 3 days out of a slick is ok. 8)

Yeah... but if you go back to my original post, I can get more than 3 days out of a rear. The slicks were farked at day 4.
+ hows doing a suspension set up ........ no warmers straight off the track ..... would have killed a set of slicks in a day,
the circumstances are always changing wattie & life with tread these days is cool..... dont have to worry about cycles 8)

The Guru said the BT 002/3s had exactly the same rubber compound as slicks & were affected the same way by the heat cycles.

the 003 treads are a strret legal tyre, it would be highly irresponsible for bridgestone to build them with 3 cycles in mind, they couldn't be ??

I found that I am only doing approx 200k's on a track day and that includes riding it out there & back!
I am in need of a new set of tyres... ( still the same 002's as the last putty run Rob.. )
 I like getting my moneys worth.. ..
As my road bike is also my track ride I will be fitting BT003's... (NO, I don't like getting caught out in the rain on the road )
