Macca - where did you get yours? I saw them on monday and wanted to ask then but forgot. I'd been hunting for months for green and black boots! My Dri-Riders are Waterproof, Comfy - Even with a busted ankle and fairly strong. Pretty inexpensive too. My only issue is i hav little feet. Like midget sized..

Ebay - when the dollar was good - cost me about $350 delivered

as above for the sidi vertigo. Just make sure you lock tight all thed screws in them before you use them the first time.
Very comfy to walk and ride in whilst also offing trackday support. Fark all water protection though.

Daytonas.
5 years of use and deadset comfortable. Good protection. But most of all comfortable to wear as an everyday shoe when you get to where your going. They did just as many k's off the bike as they did on it but still did their job when it all went to shit at over 200k's. Still semi usable but not to crash in again around $400.
Got a set of Blitzkrieg BMW Stromtrooper jobbies now. Pays to know people in the know

It all depends on the shape of your foot. I had my eye on Gaerne and Sidi but bought A* SMX4's as they were the most comfortable for my hoof. I've only had them a year but crashed in them once in that time and they are holding up well so far.

For the daily hack to work 'n back ??
Aldi boots FTW !!! Really comfortable, easy to put on & take off, pretty dry in the rain. For value for money for boots that are used *every* day - you can't go past these babies !!
Race & track days ?
Sidi Vertebrae. These are a few years old, but only used on track days and for racing, they are still in great nick and do the job well. Unless something drastic happens

- I will probably keep using these forever and a day. Comfy for short-ish stints.....
Long road-trips and such ??
Can't go past the *Original* and *The Best* - Alpine Star Roger de Coster MX Boots !!!
These babies were bought new in 1981, are the 3rd-generation Alpine Star, and are 'basically' identical to the boots worn by one James Goose......he had 2nd-gen A/S boots though. These are on about their 4th? sole, currently using US Marine GP-style soles, but even these are starting to wear out after 10 years......these boots fit my feet like a glove after 28 years, about as waterproof as you could expect (ie really quite good) - and I can wear them all day every day......they are essentially as comfy as a pair of moccasins !!!
will add some pictures later.

I love my Falco Axis boots - comfortable, good ankle protection, built-in shin guard and so far waterproof. They are not a sporty boot with multi adjustments and look pretty plain but for $200 I think good value.

thanks all for the replies, looks like Sidi's might be the go though I will try on some other brands as well just to check the fit, Di has a pair of Gearne boots and they seem quite a narrow fit. I also still have a soft spot for the Alpine Stars as my current pair have been so good.
Another option may also be getting two pair as I do need something waterproof for commuting.
The vertigo's seem to have a goretex version as well which would be good if they are bought into Aus.
Cheers
Matt

tried a few pairs on today, so far the most comfy waterproof one I found are the Gearnes, although MCAS in the city didn't have any of the Sidi Vertigo Tepor in my size.
I had to post a pic of these Sidi's though
Only 50 pair bought in and $730 a go, phark
