Shit!

Sorry to hear this Cath! Glad to hear you so chirpy about it. Bikes can be repaired, people sometimes can't. Might be someone hinting to you at a new bike???? Mind you, I can understand you not wanting to part with that one. I still reckon they are THE best looking Kawasaki ever made!!!!

When you're initially hurting a HTFU is just mean!

Now that you're over the hump it's reasonable

It was just a stupid bloody driveway incident. I was really tired, and in a hurry and over she went.
But the angle it hit at, meant it hit very hard and kept sliding, so more damage than just a scuffed crash, which is what I'd normally expect in this sort of scenario.
It's all good now guys. I've HTFU'd and regained my zen. The bike will be fixed one way or another. It sucks, but it's no big deal.
The more I think about it, the more I think it might've been not so bad - I mean, heading out to do a big Putty loop, and a WGM then riding home in traffic when I'm really tired. Well, I could've misjudged something badly and ended up with a written-off bike and in hospital...
So my zen is back and it's all good

I may even pay a visit to a certain thread later in teh evening if anyone wants some advice...

Nah, I'm not over 50 yet Rooster!
I reckon it's god's way of telling me either to fix the bloody bike, grow longer legs, or buy a ZX10 (*very* *very* slightly lower seat height)

Got two more things to do first mate. Not-so-secret project & an overseas trip. Then move to a flatter area

In the meantime, I'll try to be less retarded and keep my bike upright!

Just on the pipes, if you do claim on insurance and they aren't on the policy, you may be able to convince the assessor to use aftermarket if it's cheaper than replacing with an original one. It's a long shot but I managed to get a few aftermarket bits on the Crim replaced that way.
