Oh my God, I know what I'm doing when I've finished the Zed, saving up for a ZX10 wreck to play with, that looks great and what an animal to ride.
Why would you put a ten motor in a Z1000 for when you can get a 10 to look like that with probably not a lot of outlay?
Glenno, pull the fairings off, put em into storage and get to work, I make you parts off mine if it will help, you just gotta doooooo iiiiiit!

Cheers mate, but most of the good stuff appears to be members only

Thats the root of the problem, i like the ride position of the z1000 and my ZRX, the 9 is a great bike and if I could just bolt on the kit like Glenn did I would do it yesterday. Having to cut the fairing in front of the mirrors has me with a bad case of indicision

Sorry mate, couldnt part with it. It will be going into a glass cabinet and made a feature in the pool room. I gave my boss a go of the mighty 9 yesterday, he commented on how good the suspenders felt over his "stock" suspension and not about the lack of brakes....changing all those seals must have worked.

Just turn the 9 into a track bike.

I honestly don't know why you are thinking of changing the 9 when you already have the Rex. If it was your only road bike it would HAVE to be done, but how often will you ride it when you have the Rex there as well?
