The whole idea about 2 pak is that it does not need a clear coat

Well for me to get the stickers under the clear coat as they are originaly, i need a clear coat over the color with the stickers
underneath.
The colour is not acrylic ,its a bass coat that can be painted over with a 2K clear.
I completely understand the concept of not needing a clear coat when using a solid 2K colour but i cannot achieve what i want
to acheive only using a 2K colour without a clear coat.

Cool now it makes sense......the Base coat have to be the right stuff or the 2pak will fail, but it sounds like you are sorted.

Yeah Rob.
I made sure the guy i was buying the paint off knew exactly what i was trying to achieve.
And if he sold me acrylic colour and the 2K clear fails, ill have to go and pay him a friendly visit

Yep, a lot of shops put clear over base, even solid colours as imperfections or sticker application can be done before clear coat, this then allows a certain amount of depth of clear to cut and polish without touching the base.
Airbrushers love this method as they can build various coats of overlapping colours and then can gloss and seal the design with the 2 Pac clear topcoat.
I will advise if you are using base in the current climate and you have a fair amount of primer underneath it, just put a small amount of hardener into your base to seal the base hard before topcoat of clear.
Your doing a geat job from home there matey, keep up the good work.
