Get an older ZXR750, great bikes, plenty of parts available, good new era racing, oh and I just happen to have one for sale ....

i got a mate with a ZXR750, 03 model, low kays that he went bush on... bloody agi drivers. always looking to cross the kerb line without a signed docket.

he wants 3 grand for it but. it would been rearsets and fairings to go trakkin. its got a small dent in the frame and tank i think.

I had a 97 zxr750 for a track bike, it was completely stock and thought about turning it into a dedicated trackie, but the dollars you have to spend to get it there. Enough power to go quick but nothing silly. Going from a 10 to something similar you will find you are able to get on the power sooner and harder. The down fall of it being stock was the handling, it was a heavy bus and the suspension was shite by today's standards. To get it to a decent stage was going to cost dollars so I sold it as a road goer.

If you are going to get one, find a bike where someone has already spent the money on it with regards to suspension and brakes. My current trackie which is a K5 GSXR750, it had the suspension done prior to me buying it, I priced up the suspension alone at between $2000 - $3000 if I was to do it. Came with race glass and road fairings plus rear sets. That saved an additional $1500 on a stock bike.

So something that I am now selling for $7000 (open to offers) has had money spent on it that you will never get back. Little unsolicited plug there

Try and find something that someone has done all the hard work to get it to handle and stop, you like me probably won't notice if the engine has a 135 or 140 hp.

With this bike I go into the low 1.50s at the creek.
