I also have the 08 and I always let it warm up to 50-60 beofre riding off. Never have a stalling prob. I appreciate what the others are saying in my mind I wouldnt move until the ECU turns the auto choke off and idle drops (usually about 40deg). Me thinks, that if the ECU thinks considers the bike warm then thats well enough for me!!!

You bought a new bike to have a warranty, use it!!!

Well I upped the idle speed to around 1200ish and it's definitely helped. Went through the same routine I usually do leaving work and it didn't even look like wanting to stall. So there you go, it's amazing what a couple of hundred extra rpm can do.

Blurr, I agree with you about letting it warm up first. What rpm does yours idle at when its warm? I'm starting to think now that it was changed at some point in a service, coz it hasn't always been this bad. Either that or the colder weather is effecting it, although it didn't do it at PI.

Anyway, it seems to be ok now, thanks for the input fellas.

I only ever use bp ultimate, unless i can't get it. As for the nos, i've heard it burns too hot and stuffs up the engine, so i use "monster energy" :kuda: If it works for the kwaka racing teams, its good enough for my bike new_rofl.gif :kuda: I still have a chuckle when i think of that thread. I wonder if he really did it?

I idle it while I put the gear on, and it's good to go immediately and not p1ss off the neighbours too much. You'd be surprised about the big bore bikes having nothing down low, they are race bikes built for topend hp. I think if you had bought a 9 however there'd be no problem, as it def. has more down low and through the midrange :kuda:

Nos, noticed the same when i first got my 08 zx10 also (over a year ago now). I increased the idle speed and it has pretty much resolved the problem totally. still have a stall every now and then but no where near as frequent as prior. as advised above when p[ulling in the clutch give it a little throttle and it will not stall.
