Yeah the old hand open close thing most people get it.
Ulysses on Beemers don’t nod, they just stare aimlessly as they dream of the latest BMW ace$$ory and totally useless gadgets, in fact all Beemer riders think they are better than all of us and have toasty warm hands on their heated bars and that’s why they don’t wave/nod
Harley riders don’t wave as they are holding onto bits that are about to fall off their bikes and being expensive they don’t dare let go of them.
Cruiser riders are to busy showing off to notice but will wave/nod sometimes..
Whatever you do do not wave at scooterers

They have NFI which way to put a helmet on let alone be extra confused about waving
If sport bike riders don’t it is because they are to busy checkin some bit of nice ass to notice.

I was working at Penrith Rowing complex where they have a learner training area. Lunch ....... I'll park in the shade and watch the L platers go through their paces. The instructor had them doing a figure 8 loop around the safety cones ....... one rider had the left blinker on for the whole exercise, and wasn't stopped and corrected by the instructor !

Disco I know it's a good idea but I feel so unusual like that I just don't like it. I'll try again on day2, tomorrow
Rob wins day 1 for advice that worked so far: "BLINKER, ENTRY, APEX, BLINKER"

I'll try Seikos masochistic idea if I have to last

Yea i have the same problem, i see many riders forget especially during the day when u cant see the indicator light. just gotta pay more attention to the dash i suppose, that chant seems to be a good idea... but then if i usually forget to turn it off, chances are ill forget the chant all together

i've got a feeling it's about creating the habit Kevin, not looking at the dash. Then we will never have to worry about it again, and can concentrate on more important things like signaling the learner behind us to turn theirs off

A Masochist begs a Sadist to tie him to a post and whip him.
The Sadist ties the Masochist to the post eagerly.
Then the masochist screams, Whip me, Whip me, beat me, make me bleed!!!!
The Sadist stands back, arms folded and say's.........Nuh !

i drove a bmw (car) for a few years which had it's indicators on the left hand side so it was easier for me to remember when i started riding because i was using the same hand. What i do worry about is that one day i'll press the killswitch rather then the horn, which could turn out painful.

I found practicing today around our lil group of streets, is a great place to practice indicators because there are so many lil ones and you go in and out when practicing, not a bad way. Now just got to get confident enough to get out of my lil hubble here.

Thats why you fell off
No thumb on your handlebar grip to stop your hand coming off in a tankslapper
