You will find the one Blurr quoted QSTARZ BT-Q818X eXtreme Bluetooth A-GPS Receiver 5HZ will be setup for more extreme use and uses normal nokia batteries. You will find it to be more accurate eg baud rate 115,200 bps, 32 hrs battery, altitude 18,000m, velocity 515m/s, acceleration 4g, accuracy in 2.5m not know how these figures match up with the cheaper model

Doesn't appear to be, unless I'm missing something.
I checked the specs on it and they read the same as the 818x - same baud rate, altitude, velocity, accuracy and acceleration.,
The only difference is the sensitivity, this is 162dbm the 818x is 165dbm (no idea what that means, and the ebay add says they are the same) and the battery last time. This one is 12 hours the 818x is 42 hours. I'm guessing this is the big difference but not really an issue for me.

just remember that db (decibel) is a logarithmic standard, so 90 db is three times as loud as 87db. So the more expensive one is noticeably more sensitive than the cheap'n'chearfull one. It may not make a difference in most circumstances, but it may make a difference when in isolated areas like valley's etc.
