Damn! Get better Hemi.
Those damn pushies are dangerous aren't they?!
(Was it a two wheel pushie or a trike?

)

Hey guys, thanks for the thoughts!
Makes me feel guilty for not posting more often, especially considering how many great people on here have helped me with my racing...
So, the story goes like this. In order to maintain peak fitness so that I may destroy my rivals on track (and on internet forums if I must

), part of my training schedule is riding to work and back most work days on my racer. It is a 45-50 minute trip, but I must push hard to get to work on time etc.
So there I was flying along after coming down a motorway crossing off ramp, and up ahead are 2 high school kids taking their time pedalling to school. Just as I get near them, one pulls out to overtake the other, and I have no where to go but grass in order to not take out junior. Long story short, racer no like grass, goes to low-side, I save that and high-side instead, landing on my shoulder.
The kids were not at fault, and helped me get help on the way. They were pretty impressed with the crash too lol... Anyway the bad part of course is that it killed what was shaping up to be my best season ever, that's the part that hurts the most. But anyway we will bounce back, and try to push for some results by the end of the season.

Really sorry to hear Hemi, and I can totally relate. You'll be back on the bike in a few weeks, just make sure you go hard on teh physio. I couldn't lift 2kg when I dislocated my AC joint, but it didn't take long to build back up.

No riding for 8 weeks according to Doc and fracture clinic. No pinning either, just sling...
I suppose I should explain my racing situation too! Will post up seperate topic now for that.

Now there's your problem. You've got the wrong training regime. What's all this fitness stuff, just go the Anthony Gobert method, which includes a daily requirement of nicotine, alcohol and err.... some other stuff and you'll be in peak condition.........for stealing old ladys handbags.
Hope it mends up quickly mate. I just read your post on the sale of the R6 and things sound pretty promising.

I was under similar orders, but race one of a series was 4 weeks after my off. I decided to roll around; took my arm out of the sling just before race 1, got 3X 1st and 2X 2nd winning the day over all. Put arm back in sling and continued to rest it.
As long as the bone is supported you can still do some stuff.

You crazy bastard, how did you manage that?!? I can hardly move, maybe I am a soft bastard after all!
Well I have already cancelled the Barry Sheene, and round 1 of club up here is next weekend so that is out, and so I will sit out round 2 as well (it's just club anyway, I already have enough club trophies lol). But I aim to be riding in State Champs Rd1 in May, even if I have to roll around and take it easy.
As for the Gobert method, he does have some interesting ideas when it comes to raising a race budget lol....

I think I managed it because I went out intending to be smooth rather than fast. It turns out that smooth is very fast
