Some great clips being posted !! Billy I suspected as much !! Checkers eh ? hmmmm thats probably where Leo got his leather pants fitted for the first time.....
Just a couple of tips....
It would be great if the names of the bands could be added to each post. Just random links to YouTube clips doesn't really work. A bit of a story about *why* these clips are significant or meaningful would be great if you can be bothered ?? Something like ..." I lost my virginity in the back seat of dads car to my Uncle when this song was playing...." , would be fine......
The most important tip - Almost all of these clips can be 'embedded' in the site here (like the way the first clip appears).
To do this, when you got to YouTube to the particular clip, instead of just pasting the hyperlink here (ie the http://etc etc), if you use the 'embed' option directly underneath the hyperlink, just insert it between the YouTube tags
eg. the embedded code from the link on youtube which is about 4 lines worth, with lots of gobbledygook[/ youtube]
(In the above example, I have added a space after the /, so that this example won't actually try to link you to Utube - in a normal post, there is no space between the / and youtube)
This way, the clip will show up in your post. I reckon this is a far better way of 'displaying' the video clip. Its way easy, and is no more difficult than just adding a hyperlink....
I have found some more corkers in the last 2 days - will be bunging them up tomorrow night......

Here is one of my all-time favourites from *back then* ......
Just consider this - when this clip was made, there were *NO* Windows PC's.....not even a Commodore 64 !! Thats right......the Tandy TRS-80 had just been released for public consumption, with a memory of 8k. Thats not a mistake.....8k !! You loaded programs from a cassette tape into the box....
For their day, this band was decades ahead of their time. I saw them up close and personal about 4 times in a 2-year period - once while standing less than 2m from Steve Gilpin (RIP) at a local nightclub.....They were a sensational band, and I still think that their music has stood the test of time pretty well. This was also my last year at high school, so that makes it a significant milestone as well.
This clip is 30 years old - check the graphics in the background.......dated now, but 30 years ago ?? Bill Gates was still a pubescent nerd pushing brooms at IBM, a hard drive was a lap of Mt Panorama, Space Invaders had barely been released ( and we did'nt see that game in Oz until 1980), and the latest TV game was TV Table Tennis......bip bop bip bip bop bip bop bop......

I remember this song being on the juke box at Funland at Ulladulla, back in the good old days when they had trampolines and dodgem cars.

I'll say !! They are *all* on high rotation down here
One small prob - none of the links are appearing for me ?? Looks like the clips might have been 'embedded' due to the space between each heading, but no clip appearing .........
On the subject of music - the 2 concerts for fire/flood relief were pretty special......Split Enz sounded great, but Oil's were fantastic.
Here is a song especially for Strika !!! I bet he used to love this one when he was a 15 year old...... (the 'computer' graphics and space-age themes looked right at home with the glam-rock outfits )
