Meh.... who cares? People will always have issues that require tissues. Just post up bloody rides and they can sort it out for themselves or not.... And if I ever log in at the right times instead of the week after the ride/social event... I might even grace everyone with my presence....

If you hadn't mentioned "bitchy / whingers / problems" I am sure alot of QLDders would have been none the wiser of the secret group dynamics. BUT if you had posted up "lets start a weekly get together" you might get a little more attention from people willing to meet fellow KSRCians. Don't try and start a positive action movement with something negative. Its just gunna upset people, get peoples backs up and make newby's feel uncomfortable...

Anyways... just my 2c

AND having said that... I promise to make more of an effort to attend social events and rides....

It was brought to my attention a long time ago that the reason QLD KSRC doesn't post up many rides or get togethers is because of bitching and infighting behind the scene.
Dunno that I'd agree with that. Out here in the back of beyond, anyway. Those of us out here are actually pretty casual. Most of us just don't have the time we used to have. Some of us have just lost interest. Which brings up the next point ...
There is probably a small amount of these goings on in every state but with NSW & VIC having so many members it would seem to get hidden & definitely is not in the spotlight as is the case with QLD.
This I'd agree with. I think the point is that there just aren't enough active members in Qld. I'm no help - I can pretty much only do stuff on Saturdays, and then not always. A lot of the old Qld crew have either found something else to do with their time (ie I got another job, which limits my available time somewhat) or just moved on.

The bagging? Haven't heard much of it, myself. But then I usually keep mostly to myself anyway. The few with whom I am in regular contact are pretty good blokes.
And a great start would be if the gossip mongers and whiners stopped bitching about others and have the guts to discuss issues with people face to face.
...
None of you know the details of other peoples circumstances. What gives you the right to pass judgement on people you hardly know?
If that's happening (not saying it's not, I'm just not in the situation) then tell 'em where they can go.
It does take alot of effort and interest to make everything work and come together.
This is true. Unfortunately most of those who were the driving influence moved on or got disheartened by one thing or another.

What the KittyKat said, too.

Maybe I'm just out of the loop. If so, I'd like to stay out of said loop. Anyone heading south on the 21st? I have half a day ...

look i have been more then willing to do runs and rides etc but the biggiest issues i have suffered is a young partner and child who are horried attention hogs lol and the MOST unreliable bike on the planet... thanks to support and help from nanna this has been fixed *fingers crossed* i will in the near future be orgainzing rides with myself nanna and quirks it will be posted up and if anyone is interested they can come.. BM i fully support what you've had to say... im a jr member i never say much but i've spent the last few months logging in daily to read what everyone has had to say... there is alot of online support in brisbane.. but that about covers it, i think its time we pulled togeather and started a ride or 2.

I would have thought there would have been the most amount of bike riders in QLD as it has the nicest weather of all the states HA HA HA

Well lets kick it off with a good start to the year and lets organise some sort of ride somewhere! I wanna get out and explore!

Mind you after doing 2,000km from Hobart to Sunshine coast might not be the day or 2 after i get there! :kuda: :kuda: :kuda:

Lets Do it

I am not mentioning names or instances- just the fact that it is happening, and hoping it can be sorted out.....

I've been up here for two years and I've only been on one ride and that was with pat (ozx6r). He was trying to get regular rides happening for KSRC people back then but I guess no one was interested.

I wasn't aware that there were any issues up here but then again, I haven't met many members to know if there was. I just thought that there wasn't a close knit group of stalwart members like sydney or melb.

I wondered if there were too many other Brisbane based internet bike groups up here that stole some of the member interest away..you've got weekend riders, queensland motorcycle riders forum, ozsportsbikes, brisbane bikers plus drag race forums and naked bike knuckle draggers forum and god know what else here.

I've noticed that the same people pop up on all these forums. Maybe the politics stems from other forums and it just so happens that they ride Kawasaki's and it's been brought here...dunno?

However, If I have the time i will come along to any KSRC event.

Ahhh Queensland , beautiful one day , bitching the next

Don't worry Wendy , it's not just QLD KSRCians, it is unfortunately common to many groups who obsess with high powered machinery..(amongst other things)

(Speedway probably being the worst!!!!) No wonder I got out !?!?
Most blokes seem to think it's a dick measuring contest , most women are so busy defending their blokes (coz he obviously over estimates said measurement) or just try so fucking hard to be the centre of attention the whole group tends to lose sight of why they came together in the first place unless someone takes a stand and makes a difference!!(or at least attempts to)

Otherwise , many groups eventually dissapear up their own asshole if the rot is left unchecked !!! [just an observation ;) ]

I say good work!! :kuda:

Sort it and thrive or bitch and dive I reckon...........

I met a heap of Qld KSRC members up at the VJMC Rally at Mt Tambo a couple of years ago - they were all a happy bunch then ??

From down here, Qld did seem to have a lot more action happening when I first joined (back on '05) - seemed to be a lot more Qld members then who posted regularly.......these days the number have dropped right off...

Its a cyclical thing - Vic was *way* busier back in '05 as well......in fact most of the action on the forum back then was from the crazy Mexicans......still a lot of them that post regularly, maybe not as many rides though....

Even the HCC here have been pretty slack of late .....not many HCC rides posted up since about August 2007....

Wendy - I think NortiKittyKat hit the nail on the head - stay focused on the positives, post up some rides and see if the enthusiasm can be rekindled up north.....you guys have the best riding weather after all eh ?? ;)

Share The Love i say......Share The Love !!
