The last few years it has only been a riders club by name. But yes if you match this up with the end of the Moto GP team they are cutting their own throats.
I would have thought the riders club would have been a cheap way to market their product.

Considering the members of the club had already bought Kwakas it wouldnt lead to many sales....

I disagree. It can lead to brand loyalty meaning repeat business, and the members would then influence their friends and family with their purchasing decisions. Also if the riders club offered decent events etc other riders would be more interested in joining and then would be more influenced in purcahsing something green.

Why should they spend there money on a riders club promoting or getting support for there products and gaining brand loyalty when we do it for them for nothing..
and we do it better..
Some recognition would be nice though...

I would think that it'd at least be worth a free bike for the hard working moderators.

I bought 3 brand new bikes got a yearly subscription on each one what was i offered.......
In 2006 I was offered tickets to go to the moto gp which cost you maney anyway didn't take it up I actually went to the suzuki one instead meet chris verm.. and john hopper..
and that its never heard anything after that and they wanted $30 a year to be a member f@$k paying money to become a member that offers you nothing...
Kawasaki Australia does not know how to market their product I think I have sold 4 0r 5 for them just by telling friends how good the kawakas are....
Like I said before I think they should have ride days for their customer's and family and friends...... Not saying it should be free

Thats the least they could do from a marketing perspective...... Our members are mostly die hard kawasaki Fans, we are the ones buying their bikes & promoting the brand in good times & bad...they could leaise with clubs such as ours

... I hope some of the money they save on GP can be put back into constructive marketing

I got a letter from them back in 2005 when I bought the MFP12 - offered all sorts of 'exclusive' deals, rides etc to members. That was it until June 2006, when I got another letter asking for a $30 subscription to remain a member !!! What a fucking joke !!! They had sent me *nothing*, invited me *nowhere* and offered *fuck-all* in the way of good deals etc for the entire preceeding 12 months !!! AND then they have the nerve to ask for $30 for another year.....of WHAT ?? Sweet Fuck All ??? You have got to be kidding....
It was very dissapointing, as the original letter was signed by Mark 'Biggles' Barnett, who used to work on the old REVS magazine - a great writer and passionate biker. I am sure he was not responsible for the cluster-fuck that was the Kawasaki Riders Club......but its no great loss at all IMHO.
