i'd still go altho the KSRC banner would look a bit funny, a we wouldn't really have a rider's names to stick on it...

tho maybe we could adopt one of the other slow bikes as our own??

~~~ UPDATE ~~~ from MotoGPmatters.com
The eternally well-informed Autosport is reporting that Marco Melandri has heard nothing from Kawasaki. This directly contradicts the reports from Tuttosport, which said that Melandri had already been told by Kawamura.
Sounds clear as mud to me, surely the riders are going to know fairly quick smart if the rumour is indeed true... and given they are under contract then they'll be paid regardless by Kwaka so I guess pick up a ride in Supers if possible if it's true..
Maybe there's a Kawasaki privateer out there we can salp on mthe banner :D
Until Kawasaki come out and say "It's over" then I'll just sit here and expect them to be racing next year.
02:13 31Dec08 -Briefs 3-Melandri in the dark over reported Kawasaki pull out
Dec 30 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the
world on Tuesday.
Motorcycling - Marco Melandri said he was in the dark after
Italian media reported that his Kawasaki team are planning to
pull out of MotoGP because of the global economic crisis.
"I have to wait and speak to someone. At the moment I don't
know anything," the Italian rider, who has switched to Kawasaki
after a disappointing season with Ducati, was quoted as saying
by La Gazzetta dello Sport's website (www.gazzetta.it).
"I can only hope that I wake up on Jan. 1 and discover it's
all a bad dream."
The story has now appeared on Autosport.com and Crash.net and those guys are normally on the money. I wouldn't be suprised to see them pull out of MotoGP and concentrate their efforts on SBK.
Tuttosport is a very credible publication from norther Italy.
This morning "la Gazzetta dello sport" also published an article stating that even though its not official the wheels are in motion and the annoucement will be made soon, they even have reports that official letters have been sent to the riders :roll:
And we are surprised, seriously they couldn't string any consistent finishes except for last and second last.
Disappointing but not overly surprising, they were dragged back in kicking and screaming by the shell advance team and have never delivered. Fact is MOTOGP is the Formula 1 of bike racing and you need a lot of money and technical support to get it together.
