I remember seeing that former cop on the news/current affair and this was one of the ways out of a speeding offence........i could be mistaken or they may have just changed the rules since then.

You may be very suprised to learn that Ive lost, err, gained, none.

I lost 3 points on the Old Rd (105 in 80k) two months ago..

i've got 9 left so that means the last time i flagged at oran park was pulled over for speeding as i over took an unmarked in a 70 zone who was only doing 60 so i went around him doing 92 and his only question was "didn't you see me" my reply was "do you always drive like an old woman at a christening" hence loosing 3 points

I am a very lucky girl, I have all of my points intack.. had have for a while now.. (touch wood)..

I am a bit of a speed demon, and should have been caught several times.. but I guess I am lucky!!!

12 months ago I would have been boasting about having no demerit points on my licence. I'd gone 4 years without a ticket. Then earlier this year I was going somewhere in the city and was a little lost, to aid me all the road names in Melbourne are written on postage stamps and hidden up buildings and light poles. Anyhoo, I got pinged by a red light camera 1 second after it changed - guess I was looking for a street sign, or I had pulled across the line to be safe in front of cars. I didn't bother contest it as running a red is one of my pet hates and it would be hypocritical.

Then a couple of months ago I got busted 4km over in the rabbit warren close to home - in my van. 1 point, $142 fine.

So now I have 4 points, the most I have ever had on my licence in 17 years.
