I didn't have a problem with my 05'er, but have read about and followed threads of bikes with gearbox issues, and to be fair it's quite a lot more than your normal amount of complaints. Primarily in the US and some in Aus - I'm guessing that's the rumour you're referring to. PS Factory pro make a few devices to assist with the gear engagement.

Tough as nails. Had an 03 04 til I stepped up a few cc's. Loved it, great bike, strong motor that easily brings a smile to the face so much so that its been kept in the family. No major issues at all and makes for a great little tracky

They're a great bike - very confidence inspiring, and very sexy 8)
If Cath and Dave can't kill it, nothing will

No complaints at all about the 2006 model.

So hurry up and get one. 2007 models selling cheap and apparently the 2008 ones are also.

Try a Kawasaki Dealer ;) Seriously try looking at our sponsers page and see where's closest!

Just walk in and see whats around. I think I saw a zx6 08 model for 11500+on roads at the moment. And thats without even trying to haggle. Not sure if youd get any more but Id be trying to the on roads thrown in ;)

If you don't mind a drive, I would recommend Southern Highlands Motorcycles in Mittagong. I've found he does better prices than the sydney guys.

Just to let you know the 2007 and 2008 models are actaully 600 not a 636 they stop making the 636 in 2006....

So if you want a 636 do not buy the 2007 2008 bike.... However the bike is a great bike.

By the way i don't think there is many 2008 left because the 2009 due out.

If you need a hand in buying 1 lets us know 8)

ill start ringing around this wk... ive seen a couple 636's for sale (including ones on this forum) around the 10k mark, but im thinking another $1k.. for completely new bike, with warranty.. might be the better way to go.
