[quote="tim"]Thinking 9 months.... because then I'll be 30 and I can go straight from my Ls to blacks. (I believe, that's the idea at the moment anyways)/quote]

G'day Tim

You might want to check that with the RTA mate. I've got a feeling they still might make you wait the twelve months. That's how it used to be but they may have changed it

Cheers

Nah, once you are 30, its instant blacks . .well, you wont have to have the P's anyway. But you must go there on ya 30th to nudge em to change it, otherwise it will stick with ya for 12 months.

Not allowed to pillion for 12 months though I believe ..

Oh ... welcome to the club ;)

I MUST APOLOGISE!

It was all planned, I'd decided - ZZR all the way. Even dragged Glen out to check one out (something didn't seem right - just "too" sluggish, but he wasnt sure if that's because it's not a rocket with 2 wheels)

THEN......

I succumbed to my bargain instinct and when out and brought this this afternoon.

http://www.motorcycledisposals.com.au/B ... IRABLE.htm

Made a couple of offers and got her for $2.3k. I'll buy the required bits, replace, add some elbow grease and on the road hopefully for >$3k

Please don't throw any rocks... altho with the scratches and dints she's already got won't really be noticed (which is good so if/when I put it down I won't cry.. too much)

Once again, sorry - got any KSRC stickers I can plaster on it? :)

Now I gotta come up with a name.

Tim

I HAVE A BIKE

I won't write in this thread anymore, because I've fixed it up! Pretty chuffed too!

Now I've gotta get it registered (one week until I do my Stay Upright 2 day course at St Ives).

My old man took it for a ride today, all systems go. Once Glen's back (unless someone's willing to have a listen look and ride before then) he said he'd check it out and give me a more informed verdict.

Tim.
