Hmm I thought 'crash knob' was Tinny's other nickname?
On a side note the rally forum I used to frequent had to change the name of their buy and sell forum after they were contacted by the Trading Post[sup]TM[/sup].
It's a world gone mad I tells ya.

If you do actually have Og?y Knobbs or are refering to there specific product you can use the name, but you will have to spell the name with spaces or an alternate symbol.. and don't forget to use double b in Knobb to ensure the correct reference to the trademark name..
But as this is an open forum, we don't want to risk any future issues with the manufacturer and the misuse of there name as a generic term. The only way we can control this is to censor the word as its written....

That sort of stupidity is hilarious, as others have said, all
sensible companies would kill for that type of brand recognition. What a pack of short sighted, petty, misguided fuckwits

They are effectively trying to commit brand suicide.
I bet they ride Hondas too.

champagne is also something strictly we're not allowed to say unless it is champagne... u can either look at it as good brand recognition or as bad brand dilution...

The main issue was when other brands were refered to as Og"y Knobbs.
In particular a "How To" on the home page that refered to R&G Og?y Knobs..
(it did only have 1 b though..)

ahh i love a good thread about knobs......oh wait that doesnt sound right? 'knobbs' there, fixed!!!!
when you learn marketing at uni or at corporate level the tell you to make the brand recongition equal to the product e.g. ipod = mp3 players. i guess there marketing guy/girl failed that subject.
her' her' for R&G
