Well i've been off the bike for 3 weeks now with licence "technical issues" and i can tell you that after the first week the withdrawl symptoms were a BITCH, and they only seem to be getting worse!! Too make matters worse i'm lucky enough to live in Sutherland and get to be constantly tormented by all the hundreds of lucky people heading to and from the National Park every weekend :x

It's definately an ADDICTION............of the very best kind!!!!!

They road two up, 1 bike went down somewhere between Sydney and Gosford leaving one with a broken collarbone but they kept going. They still reckon it was worth it.

They were riding Triumph Bonnevilles 8)

I think at least one of the guys lurks around here, now has a ZZR1100 and an old 13.
I cann shenanigans, I've not seen an old Trumpy that could run for that long!
I know that they refer to them as mobile oil pumps!! I've also heard stories of dismantling them in the home bath tub so as not to lose any bits, guess they made sure the plug was always in place!!

don't mean to offend you or your wife adel, but quite frankly i think thats bollocks... she obviously picked you because she likes you and part of you is that you ride bikes.... no-one should try to force u to give up riding just because u have kids...

end of rant...

the freedom, the air, the adrenaline when you cut it a bit fine...not to mention the company, road trips and scenery..

Addiction = obsession YES, compulsion YES excessive physical dependence YES psychological dependence... OF COURSE

kids are so expensive you might win an economic argument to stick with the bike. :D

When she says its either her or the bike, ensure you have a bag packed with all her necessities ready to go ;)

Well I can understand wer she is coming from, if and when we have kids and if something should happen to me as we all know the risk is high or higher on a bike, you hear about riders getting killed every day because of the impatient drivers out there she'll want the kids father to be there. I think it wouldnt be fair on her behalf if something did happen to me being the income for life. I did say it wouldnt be easy to give it up and it might take some time it's just one of those choices that have to b made :(

It's funny, I can be perfectly content not riding for a week or two, knowing the bike is in the garage ready for me to take it out whenever I want. However, if the bike goes in for a service, or if Jeff is on mine rather than his, I suffer withdrawal symptoms!
