Paddo's is a z1000, but I agree, a z750 is top of the list of bikes I'd look at for the road if my 9 wasn't so damned good. Perhaps you could look at a 9 Owen?

get a Z1000, 1000cc grunt, without the rip your head off and shit down ya neck HP and snappyness of a ZX10r 8)

i had one b4 the 10 and it was a great bike, very capable. the mrs liked the back of it (but only told me after i bought the 10r, god bless her) 8)

That wasn't necessarily my intention, I've got a soft spot for rex's. I *may* have called them an old man's bike, but I was a little drunk so it doesn't count
if it was old AND fat I resemble that remark....... :P

Dont discount the REx, they may "appear" to be an old mans bike..............

You would be totally disOWNED if you went TRX 850 they are the biggest pieces of shite going.... 2 mates had them & it put them off bikes they were that bad  they may look ok but they dont handle.... that's why you never see any at the race track ;)
BTW I would love a rex too 8)
Mmmm, not sure if it's the way they set it up, or ability, but I have 1.Ridden one in anger 2.Raced against one 3.Tried to pass one over tawonga Gap.......! In my not so learned opinion, they handle just fine! However, they do vibrate like bastards with the mirrors useless apart from a 300rpm band around 1300rpm to 1600rpm! They wouldn't pull your brother off your sister either and they do tend to wear internal engine components earlier than the fours and some other twins do for some reason, with most guys I know having to do a top end at about 80,000klms!

The one I rode had been rebuilt and went OK, but it is definately an aquired taste to ride! It's a bit like a diesel, the key is corner speed and maintaining the 500rpm rev band where it makes it's best power and torque!

In all the time I have been riding, I have only ever seen one TRX850 being ridden 'properly' ;)

Up one of our local scratchers roads, I chased a large-ish unit (otherwise known as a Phat Phuck) who was on a nice-lookin' 8fiddy.....had some sort of a/market cans, sounded 'noice'......anyway, I was on the Pearl, giving it a flogging.....and could not get past this fat bastard who was riding the wheels offa his 850 !! I have never seen that bike again, this was maybe only 2 years ago ?? He had it cranked and flying !!!
