maybe not? the website says

Motorcycle tolls cost half of the equivalent car tolls, and range from 17 cents up to a toll cap of $2.49. Motorcycles don't need tags and are not charged image processing fees.

I don't carry my tag on the bike, when I got it I rode home via toll roads and when the notice arrived I just used the site to enter my new details on the existing account, they read the numberplate and assume you have a faulty tag.

Me too...

You'd think they'd have a better system though

I have a RTA tag, no penalties for a failure to detect from the system (hell sometimes holding the tag up by hand pointing AT the reader it still fails   ) other days it works fine, really seems more temperamental than a 15y/o pissed off at her parents. Thusly i just have the car and bikes on my etag account and never carry the tag on my bike and just keep it in the car and don't worry if it doesn't read. I've never incurred any extra $ for this.

Only time i had a hiccup is when i got the tag, for some reason there was a delay on a cc processing at one point. Thusly the LCT gave me a notice for violation, i never did anything further and just ignored the warning (it was from a fricking year and a half ago, i figured that if there wasnt a statute of limitations on being liable for it, they can contact me again if the really wanted their $2.49)
