The 2nd half was a much better effort by those PurplePoofs, they actually started playing some proper footy.......and another couple of lucky tries, but just not good enough on the night. The final scorline flattered the poor efforts of the CaneToads.

I think the MaroonMorons threw the ball away about 4 or 5 times on the first or second tackle ?? That sort of crap will never win games of footy. Chicken George needs to have a long hard look at where he played certain players tonight.

Yes its all in good humour, I love the State of Oranges, its always good footy. I have watched every game played , thats a long time now.........basically its the only rugby league I watch each year.....

I was actually at the very first game Gos and have been a fan ever since. I also never watch NRL, but am absolutely addicted to Origin.

Go the blues went down to my local pub and watched on the big screen, great game it was.

That first game would have been an interesting game to watch live. In the early days, this 'concept' was not really supported at all like it is now....in fact most of the games administrators thought the whole thing would fall over and die a natural death in the first year !!

Artie Beetson was always a 'legend' to me, and one year up at Redcliffe, he served me a beer at his pub on NYE !! It was great, I think that was in 1983 or 1984 ?? something like that anyway..
