Mate I'm doing the very same thing. Wife just got her Ls so I've been looking everywhere for 250s.
I would say , go private and save some dollars. All bike shops are over priced for there twofidys.
No offence to our sponsors.... ;)

There bikes haven't killed anyone cause they have all broken down and been unable to start!
I know a guy that paid $4k for wat he thought was a ZX2R with 9,000kms on it and it was apprently an A model made in 2003!!!
