And in fairness to the coppers , a couple of weeks ago got done by a radar set up and the short story is that the copper booked me for an out of date rego label instead of a speeding fine . No points for the label . This was after I told him I only had 1 point left . Good Bloke .

lucky you
i get booked for my number plate on the wrong angle. its supposed to be "vertical" apparently. even though the stock one isnt.

and 3 points will but me on zero. so thats me gone of i pay it. :cry:

Now here's a tough call. If you argue and loose you might end up doing your 3 months walking in summer which would really suck, but if you just pay up now you're coping 3 months over winter for something that's a bit of a rort without even trying to fight it.

That sux arse Wattie, I'm really sorry to hear it.

I just got m y licence back after I was faced with the choice of speed to avoid truck merging into me, or die by truck squashing! I chose to speed, naughty me! I wrote and asked what action I should have taken and was told some mumbo jumbo about not reviewing my case now....... :roll:

All makes it that much worse that I'm only 3 weeks from getting the points back that were "stolen" from me when I accelerated away from someone cutting me off... so of the 12 points I've lost only 3 of them I really deserved.

I don't mind copping tickets or a loss of license if I do something shit... but for God's sake I rode all the way around Mt Coot-tha the other day at the ridiculous speed limit of 50km/h as I'm trying to do the right thing... and here I am still losing my license.

Cops = carnts.

All the more reason that aside from commuting or a slight burn through the suburbs (to keep my practice up among many other excuses) my bike has come out of the garage for a real spin (distance wise, not speed, i cant afford that yet) less than a dozen times in the 20 months from the moment i was pinged at 45 over or so until now. This goes until at least the very end of this month, when my probation finally finshes, thank GOD.

Won't work because the offence is taken as being committed the date the ticket is issued.
However QT/police do make mistakes.......................................... :D

Yep aardark is right if there is public access then road rules apply, you will notice that at most track day rider breifings they will tell you helmets are to be worn even in car park, i even notice now that ECRD are saying helmet must be on if you are sitting on bike and bike is running ( deemed in control of vehicle ) yes because i have quite often seen the piggies do drive a through at EC probably looking for just that.

If it makes you feel better i have taken far more money off cops than they have from me in fines over the years, they have not earnt my respect therefore whenever i get to do work for a cop i always inflate the price, know a few others who do exactly the same thing too

oh and as for mistakes on tickets, doesnt matter how many they make if they have handed the ticket to you personally your screwed

Well, I've just received the pics I requested for my speeding offence in Feb (pity my number plate wasn't covered lol :twisted: ). I ordered the pics in case it was a try on :shock:.
It's taken them 4weeks to send em out to me - and would you believe I received the reminder to pay the fine on the same day (yesterday) . . . cheers! 3 points and $238.00 :( :(
Anyway thought I'd post the pics in case some of you may never have seen what you get for your $11.00. :roll:
And I guess the world is now a safer place !
