Obviously opinions will differ, however having had 2 ZRX's both R (2001) and S (2003) between them nearly 100K's and now with a ZZR with over 50 K's always had problems with grounding footpegs with the ZRX's even with the eccentrics reversed and with Ohlins suspension on the S. Never had much of a problem with grounding on the ZZR but proper setup with the right suspension helps. after footpegs the next thing to touch down is the side stand on the LHS. The ZZR in my humble opinion wins the comfort stakes here too with the longest run being over 1800 Kms over a 24 hour period. And 145 HP at the rear wheel cant be all bad. Lae Racing dyno (so probably wrong) However its horses for courses if your riding is commuting and around town the ZRX is the better choice, long trips scratching my opinion the ZZR is better suited and faster for me.Strika wrote:
Nothing wrong with the way either of them handle. However, on a twisty road, the ZRX will win hands down due to one reason! Ground clearance!! The ZZR12 drags it's arse on the ground very early on. The rex on the other hand can be leant over some considerable amount!!!!!The Rex motor also has to be close to the perfect road bike engine. Grunt in any gear at almost any revs!!!! It makes me giggle!!!!
