At last i have found the time and the money to finally insure my bike.
The best price / flexibility / policy came back to "insure my ride", all done over the web.
Hopefully i will never have to use it, but you never know, do you??

Backed by Suncorp and were waaaaaay less than Shannons, QBE, ebike, etc.
You can customise the riders gear cover (QBE is $4k whether you like it or not) and fool around with excesses.
Or the old timer Ulysses might be the next best option.
Exactly who i use as well..

Personally I think Shannons are way too expensive and a rip-off, they quote $539.52 for recreational use of 1-2 days per month for my bike on Rating 1.
Normal daily cover for my bike with the same insured value ($12,400) AND $100 less excess with Swann is $311

There;s a mob called Arista that are supposed to be very cheap for the >40 market, all quotes I have had for my 9 this far have been $800 +, something to do with bugger all points on my license it seems

and the fact I ride it regularly (or I would if I could get it fucking started....) rather than a weekend warrior.

Has anyone had a claim with insuremyride? I had a car claim with Suncorp they WERE pretty good. So thats who I've had my zx9r with but i got my renewal from them and it has gone up $300, yet i did not make any claims and I'm older. thinking of doing the switch.

I would highly recommend Insuremyride.
In my case, they were the cheapest available and *unfortunately* they paid out extremely fast with no hassles.

When i got the 10 QBE wanted $1200, so i went with a 6 month policy and paid it, i think it was about $650-700 (yes i know a rip for 6 months).
With my renewal sept. last year, i did an online quote with InsuremyRide, QBE matched it and now i pay $800 full comp.
QBE were fine to deal with when i claimed my radiator last year.
