You could also try the ZXR400 rim but if its just to get some sticky rubber I used to run a Metzler MEZ1 and I think Bridgestone do something in an 18 as well. You can also get slicks if you want to go that far.

Well already thought about the 400 rim but I may evenbenefit from reducing rim width for the Kart tracks so a 400 rear isn't the solution. Really it's just about better tyre choices. Slicks aren't on the cards as our sessions are so short so don't want spend a couple of laps warming them up.
Will keep thinking on this one.

Could try a rim off an RS125 (road going) as they are 17" so you will have heaps more tyre selection & they are not huge by todays standards. you may have to fiddle with the fitting ie spacers etc + I think the sprocket is on the wrong side but could be mirrored as long as the tyre is fitted the right way it would be fine ;)

Yeah he finally came out & how a trundle round with Nan & Pop Racing(TM), Barstad was riding the poor little "2nahalf R" like a Friggen' Motard. It thing saw more angles then a "Politicians Pie chart".
The old School Vic Regs will be pleased to know Matty hasn't lost any of his roadcraft skills. But the Grass Shortcuts didnt help him THAT much. :lol: 8) :D
I can see this is gonna get MESSY when he gets it sorted :twisted:

ha a new toy ;) , my nephew got one of thee to do is "L"s on, he did a coupla trackdays @ wakefield park on it with a coupla mates on zx7rs, he said they ate him on the straight & he caught them up in the twisties. have fun. :D
