Asked our finance company the same deal, so we walked in there with a cheque for what we sold the car for and a wad of cash to make up the difference. Had enough change at the end to buy icecream on the walk to the (new for us) old shitbox we got instead (never buy new unless you can afford depreciation).Shaman wrote:Bit of a shame - I sold a car a while back which still had finance on it - just got the guy to make the cheque out to the finance company and they sent me the leftovers.
If they don't let you do that, they're dodgy - walk away.
