thanks all.there are no baffles as it is a race pipe, oil changes are still easy as it clears both the drain plug & filter. it has a fantastic roar, especially at 6000 r p m & above.suprisingly it runs really well with no pc3, cant wait to get one but. :D :D :D

well this is a hell of a thread revival  and Wattie I finally emptied the fucking handlebars of all that buckshot !!! FMD it had filled the switchblocks again FFS !! #$#@#@^@$@#$@ lols

Thought it might be a good idea to kick this one off again, as I have PC's old Zeddie up in the 4th for safekeeping until Mick can ride again. Its been on a couple of WSB trips and also a couple of good strops down the coast - as well as general commuting duties - over the past 2 years. Only for 3 months at a time though ;)

The last trip I did on the CDT though - the old girl just did not feel 100%. It was missing a lot of *zip*. This became heaps worse this time last year on a CanberraRiders trip down the coast - the FI light was coming on more and more and it got to the point where I could not give the Zed a good flogging as it just ran on 2 cylinders......really annoying, especially when it seemed to be a random problem that came and went as it pleased ??

Anyway a few weeks ago, prior to its upcoming summer rego stint, I tried to give it a kick in the guts - the noises coming out of the servo motor in the throttle bodies, sounded terminal - the bike would not start at all. So I grabbed a replacement set from US ebay for $140 delivered here.....and fitted them today. 38deg heat and all ;)

A bit of a fiddly job but not that difficult. The difference was immediate ! Bike starts instantly like it used to, but no FI light and the throttle response is way better. Rego should be sorted within a week or 2 and then I will find out how much better the response is :kuda:

Here is a short video of the bike getting started today after the throttle body replacement.

Arrow Exhausts - Mick got this one from Italy, I think that is where they are made ?? Its the competition pipe   farken loud as anyone who has ridden behind this bike will tell you.

I think it was about $1200 landed here ??? Really good quality - better than just about any other pipe I have seen.

It sounds horn, I can confirm that. Quality is good, right up there with Akra's and my Arata. Then again, ol Eric doesn't mind a loud pipe

So not available locally :x Looks like I'll to revisit the web :D Do you have the part numbers because I am sure it comes as 3 or 4 separate items, header. exchanger, connector, end can and whether its the race (good) or street version, did he have to pay any duty when it landed ? being over $1000.00 I'm think there might be.

It was about 16 pieces altogether I think ? 4 seperate flange fittings, 4 individual header pipes, 2 mid-pipe Y-sections into a further single mid-pipe section, then the muffler section. 4 sets of individual springs.....this was the 'track-only' version. It also came with a tube of fitting grease - the clearances are so tight between all the individual parts, that you have to use this grease to get it all together. Really good quality build. I think Mick had to pay a bit of duty but it wasn't that much - he got this system not long after he got the bike from Wattie.

Somewhere - it could be on this forum ? there is a pic of all the individual parts laid out on a sheet on the driveway :kuda: we had to take that photo ......the bike has never felt like it needed a Power Commander either, the power delivery was really good with this system straight out of the box.

My Arata is the same, in fact the mechanic who tunes it now was telling me that it may need one, and then he ran it on the dyno and said....."well, just goes to show I don't know everything, that's almost perfect"
