Firefox (Die IE) + Zone Alarm Pro + McAfee keeps my home PC clean. Heaps of torrents/dodgey websites visited, hence firefox use

Firefox (Die IE) + Corpoarte Firewall + McAfee keeps the laptop clean.

AVG is a good freebie though

Thanks for all the info guys... To be honest, downloading and running all these individual programs looked like a pain so I gave in bought Mcafee internet Security.
Checked the reviews at cnet and the ones Ronnie posted above and it should do the job... It was only $27 and is tax deductable after all... :-)

I just hope it doesn't suck up resorces like my current E-trust software does...

I tried Mcafee years ago. It was a resource hog and it got itself so entwined that I thought I would have to burn the computer to get rid of it. Once bitten ...

Yes, it is absolutely necessary!

I use:

Antivirus = Kaspersky

Firewall = Sygate

Spyware = Windows Defender running in background, and use Spybot and sometimes Adaware.

I recently updated my laptop to Linux (Ubuntu distro) and it doesn't need any antivirus or firewall. Good :D
