I'm paying for petrol and thats what I want

My previous boss had an account with a curtin servo and was not filling
anyware else and one day one of the pistons blew for some reason so he
took his car to a mechanic, the mechanic told him this has happened
because of the amount of ethenol that was mixed in with the fuel, my ex
boss had the matter delt at court against this particular servo but I dont
know what the outcome was, I since lost my job so there you
have

My GT550 has recently melted a piston and melted a fuel line on BP fuel that is supposedly ethanol free. I cleaned the carbs out the other day and there was a second liquid interspersed with the fuel which wasn't fuel....maybe water, or something else that has come out of solution of the fuel. It also had clean looking fuel bowls, until I sprayed some clear coloured carb cleaner in, and a yellow substance came off the walls of the bowls. I use BP exclusively coz I have a BP card.
My GN250 is really hard to start most of the time, particularly if it has sat for any period of time. The solution (I have looked at EVERYTHING on the bike, and there is nothing wrong with it.) is to drain the carb, and away the bike goes. I am experimenting with that particular bike now- trying a different BP station that sources their fuel straight from BP Brisbane, rather than the local chain that distributes from their depot here- I wonder if they mix ethanol here. Time will tell if the bike starts any easier.
My Hyundai is very fuel sensitive, and I don't know why, but seems to get best fuel economy and runs best on BP91 from Gatton College View BP.

Actually I don't think that was overlooked at all. In fact:

I have read this too. Doesn't sound too sustainable to me...

Out our way, there is actually a move to link the southern railways north through to the port of Gladstone, and east to the Port of Brisbane - if that goes through, it will have a much more positive effect on carbon emissions that ethanol ever could, as it would remove a lot of inefficient transportation out of our exports, and remove several thousand trucks per day off our roads.

Unfortunately no one involved with the project submission had the foresight to list the environmental benefits, nor, I suspect, the benefits in $ terms.

who knows whats in petrol nowa days Im willin to bet most breakdowns
are caused cause of bad fuel or whats mixed in it just the other day that
servo in chester hill was busted for havin water mixed in fuel and all cars
broke down within metres, sure most of you saw that on current affair, its
pot luck when you fuel up I rekon, cant rely on gov to help their only

Filled the old car up once at a servo, to a flashy one but the shit i put into it was a combination of petrol, paint thinners, water,metho and ethanol

Needless to say the car went about 200m than died Rang the misses (works for a dealership) to get it towed as it wouldn't fire letalone run. Once in the workshop with the other four cars that filled up in the same servo, all farked and not covered by waranty!
New fuel pump,lines and filters i'm off. The others were going to court.

i take it you never joined the others in taking them to the cleaners?

Mine was only minor and not worth the bull shit. Cost for repairs was only $200 as opposed to the others, New motor for a Astra and a Gen111 for a SS

Besides the prick went broke so if they won they wouldn't get a cent either

its a shame business insurance doesnt cover "i was being a twat and caused a shitload of expensive damage by doing something non legal and cant afford to repair it myself" would reduce the personal liability thing slightly, but it would reduce the likely hood of people being out like this.

Then again insurance ought to cover it and the insurance guys coming after him to recoup the losses. I've heard things like engine failure being covered before.
