Exactly! and that's why I'm selling my Ducati! once it's gone I'm actually in the market for a Thumper, and the new KLR 650 is looking top of the list at the moment!
If you want to have a real good time, get a race bike.

mate they dont even have to be out of controll.... one of my last rides on the blade i came round a blind corner (left hander) out in the hills, following Plas and a few of the boys, to find a Ducrappy 748/996/8 in yellow getting his knee down...in MY LANE.... i had to lean super hard to avoid him, almost to the point where i was in the dirt... prick...
