cheers guys... I'm gonna try all of the above on various sectors of the rim to see which area comes up best... might be a slightly expensive initially exercise, but I'll have something I know works. I tried Kero, but that was no good... was so frustrated almost threw a match at the rims... Burn the dust off...

:? Removes the dust but then cutting compound to remove the scorch marks :shock: if they come off :lol: :lol: :lol:

i am completely serious about the bike-gel, it is the best product i have ever seen. Wash your whole bike with it, then use a brush on your rims, then your chain. Wait 15 minutes and wash off, grease the chain, polish the bike. You won't beleive it.....

I have nothing at all to do with the company that makes this stuff, but i can't rate it high enough

i think it's about $15 for a bottle, it will give you 5 washes

some turps and an old paint brush does the trick
also good on ya chain as well

I usually just leave them for a while. When bored with black rims THEN I wipe them off with detergent and oala! red rims :D
