Do you also get a fine for each point to point?
Glen, from Phillip Island to the border it is strewn with australia's funniest vehicle speeding videos devices!!! On the fwy into Melbourne from the Island, the gantries have cameras as well as about 500m before the domain tunnel and throughout the tunnel length.

These I think are speed cameras only. the ones on the city link I am led to believe are also speed only and mounted on the gantries. On the Cragieburn Bypass, they are speed and point to point.

On the Hume near Wallan they are Point to Point. However, you can only be done for one on the point to points. That is provided you didn't slow your average to under the limit in between sections!

I can just imagine Glen singing the song now...."oh mr. postman............"

Little overboard in your list of cameras mate. There's no cameras in any of the citylink gantries, anywhere. The original speed camera on the overhead signs next to the nylex clock got decommisioned years ago. I don't believe there ever will be speed cameras on the gantries because that would mean Citylink allowing Tenix access to their structures, not likely in this day and age. That being said though there are of course 2 cameras in the Domain, and 3 in the Burnley tunnels.

Ones on the Ring Rd are still not turned on yet, should have been first week of the year but latest word was they are still "A few weeks away". These are all in the old places from before the 180B incident, except a new set covering the exit ramp onto Ballarat Rd.

There are no point to point cameras operating in Vic yet.
A little birdie told me that the city link recently had cameras commissioned??? Also Geelong fwy has Point to Point as well as the new Cragieburn Bypass!

Dunno where your little birdie got his info from but I can refute it. Travel through the Tulla one every day and have never seen any work on the gantries apart from the odd bit of maintainence, certainly no new boxes to measure speed, and no wires running through the road, and I may have accidently exceeded the speed limit whilst overtaking for a brief second once, no suprises in the mail.

And my birdie tells me there was never intended to be point to point on the princes or the cragieburn bypass, only further on up the Hume. Again I know someone, who knows someone, who once traveled through those sections of road averaging above the legal limit, no suprises from the postman.

I can tell you that the craigieburn cameras were turned on on Wednesday this week. They all link up, all the way down the freeway.

I met a client this week who also confirmed this and it was also advertised on triple M's traffic report.

Could be wrong but do you really want to take the risk on the Craigieburn freeway......?
